This 6"x8" (15.24 cm x 20.32 cm) original watercolor painting was hand-painted on acid and lignin free cold-press watercolor paper.
The painting is unframed. It will arrive with cardboard backing in a clear cello sleeve, sent to you in a rigid cardboard mailer.
"Technicolor Roses II" is a study in limits and contrast. I limited my color palette to approximately 6 colors - 3 warm and 3 cool - to create a contrast. This painting is also an extension of an experiment using masking fluid to create the form and details of roses, combining the flow of watercolor with the rigidity of the masked borders.
